Makapu'u Lighthouse, this view is soothing to the soul!

Being an Army Wife has taken my to few different places. Currently I am living in Hawaii. When I was told we where going to be moving here, I was super excited. I had never been to Hawaii, and could not wait to experience it. In my mind we were moving to paradise. A land of sand, coconuts, beautiful beaches, and rich in history. I though the whole island of Oahu was like this. Its not, lol. The cost of living is high, but the majority of things to do on the island are free to do. The exceptions are the tourist points, like aquariums, themes parks, and what not. Luckily they give Kamaʻāina (pronounced ka-ma-EYE-na) which means locals/resident discounts. After being on the island for 2 years, I finally over came my irrational fear of the water and snorkeled for the first time. Since y'all don't know me well, this is a big deal lol. It was amazing!
